BEHIND EVERY MIRACLE THERE IS A CONSPIRACY
Year 2172. One hundred years after a devastating climate crisis, the isolated rural community of La Vereda faces a threat: its only source of water, the river, is poisoned. Leonardo (45), an expert in botany and agriculture, works with plants that he grows himself in search of a cure. Meanwhile, the Governor discovers what could be a conspiracy to reduce the number of inhabitants, one that hides secrets about the origin of La Vereda, contradicting everything they have believed in their lives. When his wife and son fall ill without returning (he is part of the group sent to discover the origin of the pollution), Leonardo and Laura, the governor's daughter, break the law and leave La Vereda clandestinely in search of answers. The first one they find is that life does exist outside the boundaries of their community; the second, they are not the only survivors of the cataclysm. His story is a lie, poisoning is indeed a conspiracy and in the outside world there is an elite that has made La Vereda one of their experiments to survive.
